The EvO:R The Goods Section
Welcome to the EvO:R-The Goods Section.
Many websites have been put up to warn people about scams
and services that do not live up to expectations. As a result we have
had a huge void in websites that list services that reach or exceed our expectations.
In March of 2004 I sent out emails to thousands of people requesting that if they had a great
experience with any company, service, or website involved in the music business to please send me
that information. Well, it seems as if it is much harder to get people to respond and share a
good experience then a bad one so we will slowly build each of our sections based on the results of the March 2004
emails and we will continue to add more and more topics and compliments as we move forward.
EvO:R does not take responsibility for any site or service in this section. We are simply providing
websites and services that have exceeded expectation in the past.

Kweevak - is an awesome site that I'm sure I've mentioned to you all at one
point or another in my e-mails. Well, they've posted a real nice article about me on
their site based on a phone interview I had with Rich a while ago. Kweevak.com: Edgar
- Man on a Musical Mission — I can't say enough about what a great supportive person
Rich is... and what an absolute work horse he and his cohorts are. KWEEVAK is doing
so much for local and worldwide indie artists that I can't even begin to tell ya.
After you read my interview please take some time to see and read about all
the wonderful things Rich and Kweevak have going on. It's worth the ride ;
) ENJOY! And, thanx for all your constant support! "Good Things Happen When You
Least Expect It" Peace, Edgar

Makato (Mary Gilbert) Mary likes to promote bands. She has many different avenues
of promotion on the web. The Makato search engine and the promo page that she put together
for me at Makato are key to driving additional traffic to my home page.

EvO:R - WE also have been involved with several music
industry/promotion/publishing/get your bad a** band
signed/internet/screwballs. In some cases I think that these folks have had good intentions,
but what strikes me is this, very few bands know how to market themselves. I.E
what demographics are you looking for? However it is not as easy as all that.
I realized a long time ago that most indie bands do not know (or dont care) who is buying
their record.
Too many bands Hire a company that promises them the moon. Problem is, how do you capitalize on that
promise?
Case in point: Charlie, has done a huge amount of work, not only for Eve's Regret but the rest of the
bands on EvO:R as well. How many of the bands have reciprocated? How many bands have bothered to add a
Evor link to there site. So as not to lose my point, often times folks use music services to help
further their careers, but then end up doing nothing to help themselves.
It's really rather odd, but look at it this way. I am going to sign up with Jef at
Peacework Music.
Jef is going to distribute our last CD. However, what would be the point of paying Jef (yes I understand the
payment for start up is free and I do understand his deal) and waisting his time and mine if I have no
intention of promoting the record. Just because you hire a "Music Service" to help you. This
does not mean that they are going to do everything for you. You still have to get off your a** and get
to work.
As it works out I have just signed a deal with Gorilla TV. you can
check them out at Gorillatv.net they are coming out to this Friday
nights show to film and interview the band. From there they will edit
it and start working the internet commercials. some of the
commercials will mention Evor some will mention Peacework, (guess I
better get that set up eh Jef) and the rest will mention the Eve's
Regret site. the initial run will be one million internet adds. Much
like the adds you see on Yahoo! So soon we will all know if this
new campaign works.

Makato - I haven't heard from her in about two months but this woman has given me some
great promotion and believe it or not - just because she said she would. We have
had several email sessions and she is very into promoting unsigned bands.
This person is Mary Gilbert from Makato. She provides some great services for
free and damn near free. Another wonderful soul.

Reel Sound of Music - Back in the good old days when MP3.com ruled the Internet
JoAnne offered to take one of my songs to the top of the MP3.com charts. I had never had a song reach
the top 125 via my merger promotional efforts. Within 3 weeks she had me charting on the
top 10 Rock charts! Not some distant chart like "Southern Idaho Rockers with less then 4 instruments" she
had me charting on the big board next to a few of my favorite bands.
Now that MP3.com is gone she has turned her attention to graphic design and artist promotions (other then MP3 charting).
She is a powerhouse grapics artist and she has a huge grasp on the music business as a whole...Charlie Harrelson, EvO:R
