Welcome to the EvO:R Independent CD Reviews Section.
I would like to take a few minutes to introduce ourselves to everyone. The EvO:R review section features reviews from various independent musicians that submit material for our consideration.

I wanted to let you know a little about our review teams collective thoughts on music. It's important to let the people we review know what we think of their music and how we listened to their creations.

We hold nothing back! The team has been instructed to be honest and respectful of all CD's reviewed.

There are some bands and artists that let you know immediately the quality and type of music you are about to listen to, to love or hate, to get bored or enjoy. One of these artists is glife.

In All I Know, starting from the intro, you immediately can be sure that your ears are about to hear pure awesomeness. “One Light,” with this great Flo Rida meets David Guetta vibe, assures you of this and there’s no doubt that what’s about to come is incredible.

The title track and “Nothing To Lose,” on the other hand, have a much more old-school sound that up to some point takes us back to the old days of hip hop. “Too Good” is a more Everclear influenced song, where acoustic guitars create this simple yet catchy rhythm. “Come Back To Me” feels more like reggae meets Kanye West and Snoop Dog. “She Loves To Hate Me” is probably one of my - if not the - favorite track. With this electronic meets epicness meets Pitbull sound, it’s beyond catchy or entertaining… it’s classic. “Dreamland Agenda” closes this record in a pretty cool way. It has a little of everything we’ve been hearing throughout this entire record.

Lyrically, it goes from real life subjects to just-have-a-good-time themes. Due to the number of guests, we appreciate some diversity, as each one brings their own ideas and style to the table.

    Songs available on CD Baby:
Intro /  All I Know /  One Light  /  Nothing to Lose /  Too Good /  Come Back to Me /  Elements /  Limelight /  I Want it All /  The Man from Dove Creek /  Depending On the Day /  She Loves to Hate Me /  She Does't Know /  Nicely /  Watch Yo Back /  In My Arms /  Give Me Raeson /  Fire Water /  Runnin /  Dreamland Agenda /

In conclusion, there’s too much to love and hate from this musician. G is one of those acts that will always have mixed reviews up to some point, many to appreciate and many to critique. In my opinion, this record is worth the time to listen, and it has been well produced. Maybe my only con would be the length and amount of songs that sometimes get stuck in the same place.
