Bone of Contention are; Chet Cline (Keyboards, Vocals) Dave Haddad (Drums and Percussion) and Bill Pittman and Louie Ruiz (Bass).

I always listen to the opening track extremely carefully. Itís the opening track the band r artists has selected to hit your ears first and foremost. The opening track "End of An ErrorĒ sets the stage rather well for this CD. It was a great intro piece that stuck in my head and had me eager for what was ahead.

All in all the whole CD is brilliantly delivered with a powerful Alternative Rock, keyboard/guitar textures with songs that at times can bite you and hit you hard with serious melodic staying power. Music will remind you of Anglagard, Caravan, Peter Hammill, Steven Wilson. To be honest I canít say enough about this bands overall signature sound.

Bone of Contention present a fresh new voice in modern rock and present a strong message thatís aggressive, upbeat and highly melodic. Their latest CD manages to capture lighting in a bottle and is very loud, wise and at times even in your face sound. Each piece is real, not so overly corporate sounding and very defiant in nature. Bone of Contention possess a clean-tight sound that favors the late 90ís Alternative Rock movement but with a modern new rock feel. They will also remind me of a variety of bands from the 80ís in the hey day of the Hard Prog. Rock movement. They have a new sound but the spirit remains the same. Iíve never heard a new band sound so melodic and fresh.

In other words Rock ní Roll and Punk needs more bands like Bone of Contention immediately.

Favorite Track: End of An Error, Karma, Fickel Finger of Fate

    Criticism: Just 10 Songs guys?

    Songs available on CD Baby:
End Of An Error /  Fickle Finger Of Fate /  Eyes On The Prize /  Bad Karma  /  ...Of Mites And Men /  Guano  /  Big Bamboozle  /  Feed The Greed /  Beacon Of The Earth /

If there was one word I would use to describe Bone of Contention it would be energetic. This CD will simply make you feel more upbeat and positive and is a real jolt to the senses. In close Bone of Contention delivers the goods and is one of the hottest rock trios Iíve heard in quite some time. The have much to offer the listener n so many different and unique ways.
