There are few bands out there nowadays that take the time to be creative with their music. There are really not too many Pink Floyds in the world these days.
Songs available on TR Shaw Website:
Time Flies When You Are Sitting Still by Nathan TR Shaw is electronic, it’s rock, it’s awesome. Right in the first track, “Mrs.,” there’s some kind of effort made by Nate to create something out of the ordinary and to a certain degree, he manages to do it. “Soulshaker” is fun in so many ways. We can hear some New Found Glory/Bowling For Soup meets Bon Jovi in it.
Then we find “Help Is On The Way” and “Perfect,” where, although they are still fun, you can feel a much more serious and mature, sober sometimes western ballad vibe with great guitar riffs, bass lines and drums. “Wasted Day” is the final track of the release, and close sit in a once again quite western style, with some great effects that end up giving a sort of special touch to the song.

In conclusion, taking into consideration that this was a homemade record with no big equipment and such, this is a pretty well-produced record. Things like Shaw’s vocals eventually get better and manage to fit in each of the songs.
