      Karen Sotomayor
Powerful & soulful vocals in an eclectic mix of rock charged with strong dynamics and varied tempos. A good party vibe CD! "I'm charged creatively and ready to experiment!" After a long sabbatical from music I started writing and recording again sometime around 1999. I came to the conclusion that I had to do a lot of things myself. Being an independent performing singer/songwriter, I put my first solo demo together singing & playing all the instruments, called it Project Uno.
Late 50's early 60's sounding song which reminds me of Roy Orbison or a darker version of the Everly Brothers. Tribal drums, harmony vocals and 60's production values, with the drums and vox highest in the mix. The vocal melody is really nice and even though the song has a simplistic structure, it keeps it's interest to the end. Otherwise a cool track. •   The Dark Poets
The Dark Poets have been an entity since 2001. From this Period numerous recordings have been made and have found their way into the public domain. These have either been as limited CD runs/dublates, or have been made available by us or leaked in some form over the internet. To fully list this output would mean delving into a long and tedious list of obscure track names and long forgotten curiosities... the past is the past, we hope you enjoyed it.

Please support us directly by buying legitimate music... illegal trade in downloads hits the artists the hardest.

James R Hunter and Leigh Dunning aka 'The Dark Poets' are an Industrial-Breakbeat act from the uk. Their tracks can currently be found on 'The Cradle of Fear' soundtrack album (from Silvascreen records)

The definition of a seiche is: a small tidal wave that occurs in a lake. Since the band SEICHE formed in Chicago right near Lake Michigan, they saw an opportunity to put that name to good use for their band. Many SEICHE have arrived and flooded out Lake Shore Drive. Chicago usually gets 2 to 3 per year. The band originally began in the Summer of 1978 on the South side of Chicago near Marquette Park as the brainchild of Steve Zahradnik, who at the time had been playing guitar for only one year. Steve was heavily influenced by Robert Fripp & King Crimson and all past/present members like Ian McDonald, Bill Bruford, John Wetton, Greg Lake, Boz Burrell, Giles Bros., etc. Steve was also influenced by other bands such as The Doors, Pink Floyd, Genesis, UK, Yes, etc.

      The Coo Coo's
"This powerhouse trio weaves a steady barrage of eloquent and complex songs, surprising you around every turn with there innovation and variety. With songs ranging from bratty punk anthems, reggae dubs, and beautiful instrumental arrangements, each track leaves a lasting impression, and leaves you wanting more. I was sad to see the album end. This is a band that is out for world domination, and determined to have as much fun as possible in the process.... r.n."

      The Malfated
The Malfated is a guitar-based band from London, England, who are not afraid to explore both the dark and the light in both their lyrics and their music. The Malfated are Karl Steiger (Vox), Paul Tovell (Guitars) and Belle The Expendable Drum Machine (Percussion). Malfated songs can be fun (Kitty Pink, Cigar, Cocaine & Callgirls), creepy (Fred West, The Funny Old Man In The Green Monster Suit), darkly beautiful (Tomorrow, Queen Of Parts) and downright apocalyptic (Ozymandias, I Am The Doorway).

“When I get into something, I get into it in a big way. I’ve always loved finding out as much as possible about people I like - I was always the one who devoured articles on, and interviews with, bands that I loved with great relish. I want to provide that sort of information for those who love The Malfated as much as I loved those bands. It’s like ‘you don’t have to read it all, but it’s there for the people who care’ you know?” - Karl Steiger, The Malfated.

      Emily's ToyBox
Emily's ToyBox IS the new standard in music, fun and entertainment. There are musicians and there are entertainers. When you combine the BEST of both get the edgy, power-pop, neo-punk phenomena known as Emily's ToyBox. Add one part irreverent punk personality (front man extraordinaire, Mike Wise), one part in your face, feet-never-touching the ground guitar maniac (guitarist Todd Sensenich), two parts dream rhythm section from hell (bassist Leon Karpovich and Wade Corbin on drums) and what do you have? One hell of a rock and roll ass-whoopin' you won't soon forget!

Emily?s ToyBox is of the rarest breed, continually breaking new ground as an entrepreneurial entity on the independent music scene. With undeniable originality, talent and work ethic, there are no limits to what they will create and accomplish in years to come.
