EvO:R Guitar Kits - Deluxe Strat Style Kit
    NoteSome assembly required.
The Fender Stratocaster is an electric guitar. Designed by Leo Fender, George Fullerton, and Freddie Tavares in 1954, it has been manufactured continuously by the Fender Musical Instruments Corporation to the present. It is a double-cutaway guitar, with an extended top horn for balance. Along with the Les Paul, it is the most popular electric guitar.[2][3][4] Although "Stratocaster" and "Strat" are trademark terms belonging to the Fender, the term "Strat" is often applied to any guitar with the same general features as the original regardless of manufacturer.

Originally the Stratocaster was offered in a 2-color sunburst finish on a solid, deeply contoured ash body, a 21-fret one-piece maple neck with black dot inlays and Kluson tuning heads. In 1956 Fender began issuing solid Stratocasters with alder bodies.[5] In 1960 the available custom colors were standardized, many of which were automobile lacquer colors from Dupont available at an additional 5% cost. The unique single-ply, 8-screw hole white pickguard allowed all electronic components——except the recessed jack plate——to be attached to it for easy assembly. Despite subsequent Stratocaster models (including copies) vintage Fender models are highly valued by collectors for their investment potential and players who prefer the timbre of older models.

Among the genres the Stratocaster has been used for—besides Country, the genre Leo Fender intended it to be for—it has played a large role in rock, pop, soul, rhythm and blues as well as blues and jazz.

    About Paulownia Wood
Get use to it, it is called the wood of the 21st century or "wonder wood." All the major guitar factorys are starting to use it, even high end guitars are being made with Paulowina. Paulowina is native to China. It is a hard wood from the magnolia family. It grows fast, straight grained and is light weight. Paulowina is warp and water resistent, split resistent and tough as nails.

The sound is between alder and basswood and it is highly resonant while it weighs less than basswood with a slightly midrange tone. The trees grow back out of the original root system. You don't have to replant when it is harvested.

  • The Deluxe Strat Style Electric Guitar Kits

Below is a Deluxe Series Strat that I resently built. The guitar has been featured at a couple local guitar shows and has been a huge surprise to the people that think only vintage guitars sound good.

    The Deluxe Series Strat

The Fender Strat is one of the most recognized electric guitars ever made. Over the years hundreds of companies have designed a version of this great guitar. The EVOR kit is another in a long list of guitars that follow the tradition established over 50 years ago. The guitar pictured was built from one of our kits. The only modification was to replace the plastic nut with a bone nut. The guitar was sold to a local musician who plays the guitar every night with his live band.
