      Debut Album
      by David Requiro, Elizabeth DeMio
    Our Price: $14.99 CD / $11.99 MP3 Album Download
    Usually ships in 1-2 days
This album represents the culmination of my work over the past year since the 2008 Naumburg International Violoncello Competition. I have become quite close to these pieces and I feel that they epitomize the many facets of my own voice on the cello. What I find most striking about these works is each composer’s use of a condensed and concise musical language. Despite the brevity of the Debussy Sonata, he manages to fit in an enormous amount of material and yet maintain a sense of simplicity, elegance, and clarity. Similarly, Bolcom has created four microcosms within his Capriccio, with each movement portraying its own distinct world. Brahms, fresh from completing his Fourth Symphony, could not help but infuse his F Major Sonata with a similar symphonic sweep and grandeur while masterfully adhering to traditional form and structure. Lastly, the three Cassadó pieces not only are brilliant displays of virtuosity and charm but of depth and emotion as well, thereby revealing Cassadó’s charisma as both a cellist and composer. Every note counts in these succinct but profound works.
1st Prize winner of the 2008 Naumburg International Violoncello Competition David Requiro's Debut Album featuring Elizabeth DeMio. Includes works by Debussy, Bolcom, Brahms, and Cassadó.

      Tribute
      by Adam Workman

Just beyond the notes, rhythms, harmonies, and academia, music, like life, is about movement through time and what happens during its course. Taking participants from one point to another, at its deepest level, music to me, is about the human experience - our journey, our tears, our love, and our laughter. It allows us to tell and to revisit our unique stories, dreams, and various inspirations, while also affording us the magical opportunity to witness those of others.

A long time in its generation, this recording is a compilation of favorite music from my musical youth. It is my humble tribute to the countless human experiences that have come before, those that are happening now, and all of those that have yet to come. Past, Present, and Future.
The latest release from the Azadmusico label, flutist Adam Workman is joined by esteemed colleagues Susan Summerfield, Jerome Monachino, Brian Clague, and special guest Jessica Raymond, in his first CD titled "Tribute | Past • Present • Future".

Darya creates her own music by combining traditional music of Iran and European classical singing. Her unique talent in arranging Iranian music with some Jazz and Blues elements, places her among top "World Music" Artists. She sometimes combines different musical styles within one song, brings historical periods together and crosses languages and dialects. She follows her own instincts above all. In short, she has dared to create a new style of singing.
