I did not agree to do this so I could simply plug my guitars, I did this so you could finally have answers to many of those burning questions you may have had about your guitar.

Really there should not be enough movement where the screws are bolted in but on cheaper guitars there probably is enough motion you may be able to do that. It is worth a try but if that does not give enough to align the neck properly then the holes may have to be enlarged a tiny bit enough to let it adjust.

There is also another possibility here. Check and see if the tailpiece/bridge is mounted a little off to one side. It is likely thought that you can just lossen the screws a little and shift the neck to proper alignment.
